The Roman Map of Britain Virosido (?) Brough by Bainbridge, Yorkshire

Tribunus cohortis sextae Neruiorum, Uirosido ( ND xl₅₆ )

Cohors VI Nerviorum is attested at Brough by Bainbridge (RIB 722). The fort is on the River Bain, less than two miles south of its junction with the River Ure. Uir- could be a corruption of Isur- (with long s), Ekwall's Isura 'Ure' ERN p 427 found in Isurium Aldborough. Isurosido?
