    Pandon Burn Pampedenburn 1270-8 is located just 350m east of the Roman fort at Newcastle upon Tyne NZ2563 which is considered to be the Ponte Aeli of ND xl₃₄.
    The similarity of Pampocalia and Pons Aelii  is a co-incidence somewhere between interesting and disturbing. In this case Pampocalia may be the conflation of a name of Newcastle upon Tyne Pampo... and Coria Corbridge. The next pair of forts  westward are on the Stangate - Haltwhistle Burn Cauaglanna and Chesterholm Vindolanda.
