Corie Lopocarium is usually equated with Coria Corbridge. Following Concangis Chester-le-Street (R&C143), I would expect that: (1) It would be linked by direct road to Chester-le-Street, and it is not. (2) Corie Lopocarium is two sites, perhaps Corbridge and another, but outside of the expected quarter and one that has been previously visited by the cosmographer. (3) The otherwise unmentioned civitas capitol of the Brigantes.
Looking on Lopocarium as an error for Isubrigantum is not as painful as it might seem. The initial I could have been taken as a text divider and discarded. The remainder is fairly straightforward.
